TimeEdit expands down under: opens office in Melbourne

May 25, 2022

TimeEdit, the global leader in class scheduling and resource management solutions for higher education, announces the opening of a new operational office in Melbourne, Australia. The new office is a part of the company’s ongoing initiative to deliver high quality project service and support to customers across the ANZ market.

"The office opening in Melbourne is a milestone in our expansion to ANZ, although it’s just one part of the puzzle. We have been working with a number of ANZ institutions to localize our scheduling platform for well over a year now, as well as setting up the local cloud environment. Most importantly, we have started to build a stellar local team to drive the growth and presence into ANZ and support our customers down under.", says Johan Blomdahl, CEO at TimeEdit.

An experienced team to spearhead the ANZ operations

The team is spearheaded by Richie Teh and Robert-Jan Bulter. Together they have more than 25 years of experience in the field.

”The reception from the ANZ timetabling community is very heartwarming. It’s great to see such interest, enthusiasm and engagement from the community wanting to seek a smarter, different way of scheduling their classes and resources. This is what motivates us.”, says Richie.

”The Australia and New Zealand education sector is experiencing an interesting momentum right now. Many universities are required to do more with less, including  the adoption of modern technology and automation to enhance student experience, and the transition from the legacy on-premise systems to native cloud solutions.”

“TimeEdit has successfully assisted more than 170 institutions globally with our cloud based scheduling platform for more than 12 years. Especially in the last 3, 5 years, we have seen a huge demand from institutions moving to the cloud. Some are just looking for an urgent 1 to 1 replacement, while others take the opportunity to rethink their scheduling processes to make use of the flexibility that TimeEdit can offer. Exciting times, indeed”, Robert-Jan says.

TimeEdit establishes the ANZ product advisory board

The Australian and New Zealand educational sector is one of the most advanced regions in the world when it comes to planning and timetabling. ANZ institutions always strive to deliver high quality student focused services.

Jonatan Falk, VP or Product at TimeEdit: “To ensure that we always value add, we have formed an ANZ product advisory board to help us move our solutions in line with the expectations and vision of institutions. We will be working with experienced ANZ scheduling/timetabling practicioners and together we'll make sure to capture and solve local gaps and, even more importantly, innovate together"
